Peterson Arrested
Drew Peterson was arrested this week for the murder of his third wife, Kathleen Savio. He has been connected to the disappearance of his fourth and current wife, Stacy, who was last seen two years ago.
Savio was found dead in her bathtub in 2004. The death was originally ruled an accidental drowning even though no water was in the tub when investigators arrived. After Stacy Peterson’s disappearance, Savio’s body was exhumed and the cause of death was changed from accident to homicide.
Drew Peterson has not laid low. He has enjoyed making rounds on talk shows. He was briefly engaged to another woman in 2008 while waiting for a divorce. Peterson has steadfastly said that his wife left him suddenly for another man and he knows nothing about her whereabouts.
Peterson will be arraigned May 18. The press had a field day with his arrest. I’m not sure who made more snide remarks: Peterson while doing his perp walk or some of the reporters who’ve followed the cases for years.
