Los Angeles is home to many artists attempting to create material that’s both personally meaningful and resonating to an audience. As with politics and life, finding the needed balance is difficult in art. Especially so if one wants to establish a music career independently through her own hard work and talent.

Would you tell me about your background? Why did you move to Los Angeles?

I moved to LA because I always was curious as to the way the west coast thought outside the box
it is also a place to be if you are in entertainment and the weather is usually decent

You’ve had a varied entertainment career. You’ve acted and modeled. How did you decide to concentrate on music?

it’s the thing that gives me the most satisfaction and peace

You’re beautiful. I’d imagine that fact both opens doors and creates obstacles. Are you taken seriously as an artist?

I am not sure how people take me as an artist. all I can control is what I do and what I put out in my work and intention. those who are willing and open will experience the message and energy of my work, those caught in only the world of appearance will stay there it is not up to me. that said, I do feel as if I have had to prove myself in more ways because of my outer package

How did you pick the band name, Auradrone? Has Auradrone looked for a deal from a major label? If one was offered tomorrow, would you accept it?

the name came to me as an epiphany of sorts and it just made sense with what i was doing. if you break the words apart and know the true meanings, it makes sense

major label or any label, it would all depend on the logistics of the deal so I cannot answer that without specifics haven’t shopped for a major deal yet and am not sure if I really will go that route right now

Would you tell me about the difficulty involved in producing a CD independently?

well, it’s both liberating and difficult because it’s ALL on YOU as an artist.
it’s great that you have total control but with total control comes great responsibility.
that said, I wouldn’t change a thing about the process I went through because it caused me to grow a great deal

Has the economy caused any added problem in finishing the CD?

no

What was it like to dominate Gene Simmons on TV? How did you get that assignment?

I booked that through an agency I work for from time to time. it was fun because Gene’s a character and on paper he seems like the antithesis for all I stand for but I actually kind of liked the guy. he is what he is and makes no bones about it. I find that kind of honesty refreshing

it’s probably on the A & E website or youtube is my guess

The year 2008 is almost over. Economically, that’s a good thing. What are you hoping to see happen in 2009?

aside from releasing the album, I am looking forward to getting back out there and playing shows again. I really miss connecting with an audience and experiencing that kind of love again. one tends to get stuck in a studio and stare at a computer screen for too many hours when in production and now we’re at this stage again so I’m excited

Did you follow the election closely? What changes are you anticipating as Barack Obama is poised to start his presidency?

I’m not sure if much is going to change regarding the way the world is run
the revolution is happening in consciousness and our connection to earth and each other
the real change goes beyond politics
politics are merely smoke and mirror and a form of theatre in my opinion
that said, I hope he works as a figurehead and at least gives the US more credibility and a new image

be good to yourself and each other…and hang on we are in for some major shifts these next few years
