Minnesota Continues Recount in Coleman-Franken Race

Published by xzchief at 11:33 pm under Government Edit This

I’m not very patient. I’m a classic Type-A personality. I want my Minute Rice in 30 seconds. I look forward to seeing who will post the next comment here, which will be number #300.

Politics is often a slow process. For example, workers in Minnesota are about a week into the recount of the U.S. Senate race between incumbent Republican Norm Coleman and Democrat Al Franken. According to Fox News, Coleman’s lead has shrunk during the recount from 215 to 115. The Franken campaign said the lead is actually fewer than 100 votes.

Both sides are arguing about the other side challenging too many ballots. I don’t understand why so many voters couldn’t adequately express their opinion. I got my ballot. I got my blue ball-point pen. I stayed within the lines. I marked the ballot as I wanted. In past years, I used punch cards and managed to successfully complete the ballot.

Minnesota’s State Canvassing Board will review Dec. 16 recount results that are submitted by counties. Political junkies are waiting to see if the Democrats can still reach 60 seats in the Senate. No matter how the election goes, expect plenty of hard feelings in Minnesota.

Does this make me #300? I voted for Bob Barr, so I don’t get the blame for Obama! LOL

Yep, you’re number 300. Congratulations and thanks! About 15 percent of Minnesota voters chose a third-party candidate. Neither Franken nor Coleman got more than 42 percent of the vote. Sounds like those people thought like you did.
