GOP Should Root for Redskins Nov. 3
In 17 of the last 18 presidential election cycles, the Washington Redskins have correctly forecast the result. If Washington won its last game before the election, the incumbent party stayed in power. If Washington lost its last game, the opposition party took over the White House.
The streak started in 1936 when the then-Boston Redskins defeated the Chicago (now Arizona) Cardinals, 13-10. Franklin Roosevelt was elected to his second term later that week The streak spanned until 2004, when George W. Bush was reelected despite Washington’s 28-14 loss to Green Bay two days earlier.
This year, Washington plays a Monday night game at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers Nov. 3. The game will likely end about midnight, Nov. 4–Election Day. About eight hours later, polls will start opening. John McCain’s backers will want to Washington to win. Barack Obama’s backers should cheer for Pittsburgh.

Go STEELERS—- sorry STEELER FAN FIRST —registered Republican second. Now i do like the Skins better than the Ravens who are the Old Cleveland Clowns.
I will go for the Obama crowds but I want to learn more about this cultural show.
