New Anthology on Sale to Help Flood Victims

Published by xzchief at 11:49 pm under Reviews Edit This

I was told yesterday that the anthology created in the wake of this summer’s floods in Iowa is finally done. I submitted a story a while ago and forgot about the non-profit project. The eight-story book is 230 pages long and is being billed as science fiction and fantasy.

That’s not how the anthology was billed when I heard about it. The call requested work of interest to teenage boys. I sent a story about baseball called Slightly Better Than Average. I figured boys would be interested in that subject. I don’t write science fiction. Sure, I write fantasy but I prefer to call it honest politics.

Anyway, you can get more information about the anthology at http://www.reliefanthology.com. Jeff Richard is the point person behind the work. The book, entitled Cornfield Gypsies, is available through Lulu and costs $13, plus shipping. The URL is http://stores.lulu.com/store.php?fAcctID=3202704. All proceeds go toward individuals, families and organizations affected.
